We have an exciting year ahead at the Subterranean Theatre! In addition to two productions later this year, we will be holding a number of staged readings throughout the year exploring both world premiers of exciting new plays, and launching our ‘Gravediggers Series’ – staged readings of old plays we’re digging up to simply have some fun with!

We’re also launching classes at the Subterranean, both ongoing evening classes and weekend workshops. Join us at the theatre to brush up on skills, learn new approaches, and explore the creation of new work through devised theatre!

Our main productions this year will be an August production of the fourth in our Shoebox Shakespeare Series, Titus Andronicus, followed by our first original devised production, Convoy 31000, in November. Convoy 31000 will be written by Artistic Director, Tina Taylor, working with the Lunatico ensemble on the stories of women who joined the French Resistance forces in order to fight fascist Nazi occupation.

Additionally, we have some fantastic groups using our beloved theatre, including weekly stand up comedy nights, and Those Women Productions, who will be bringing Carol Lashof’s new play about the Salem With Hunt to the theatre this summer!

We are in the process of updating our website! Please check back here in the coming weeks as we post new details on all our programs in the year ahead and update you with links to class registration and tickets to our shows. Meanwhile, please contact us here if you have any questions!
